City of London, Greater London, UK

Leadenhall market is one of London's gems, especially at Xmas time when the whole area is lit with fairy lights. Best time to visit is during Winter, first thing in the morning especially when it's been raining and the light is reflected back up.

The Duke of Portland boathouse is a very well known spot in the Lake District, here in the UK. The boathouse itself can be rented. The best time of day to come is obviously the golden hours but in the morning you get the sunrise light hitting the boathouse and lighting its wooden frame. The image can be shot from the public highway and therefore no license is required.

One of the London's most famous sights, the Millennium Wheel. There are some extremely rare occasions when the Thames, being a tidal river, will go completely still in the early hours just after dawn. This happens around once or twice a year. Other than this shot you can shoot the wheel from the north bank during darkness to create long exposure trails or simply capture the reflected lights in the river.

Southend-on-Sea, Southend-on-Sea, UK

Southend-on-Sea is an often overlook area for photographers but shooting at low tide on the beach offers superb opportunities. Arrive just after tide goes out and on a clear day you will find superb reflections to shoot. Parking is usually free before 8am, so Summer time you will have plenty of time to shoot before having to pay. I have often seen local students and bands shooting videos on the beach and by the huts.

Milford on Sea, Hampshire, UK

Keyhaven is located on the very southern tip of Sussex, on a calm morning when the tide goes slack there are some superb opportunities to shoot the boats at dawn. There are marshes next to the sea and on cold mornings you may find mist rising and moving out over the water for added atmosphere!

Hickling, Norfolk, UK

A great place to shoot, with it's thatched roofs these are one of the more well known sights in Norfolk. You will need to park up near the boat yard in Hickling and walk the 500 metres around the edge of the lake. It is a private road but there is public access and they're used to people shooting images of the huts.
